Time to enjoy great food!!
If you have been following Community Engage we have helped you; buy new equipment and gear, go to a Sens game, get your old equipment smelling clean again and improve your game through training instruction and devices. Now, it is time to eat!!
If you live in the Ottawa area, you will be familiar with The Barley Mow. They are known for their great food, great atmosphere and a wide selection of various beverages. Jason Curry and his team have really stepped up to offer a GREAT deal and support minor hockey at the same time.
You can use this for so many situations – maybe you are between a practice with child # 1 and a game with child #2 - two different rinks, two different parts of the city, no time to get home for lunch or dinner and you are tired off the ‘usual’ places you normally stop for some questionable food. The Barley Mow would be an awesome alternative!
Or maybe there is a location close to your work!! Buy some for yourself and make your colleagues aware and all of their purchases will generate fundraising dollars for minor hockey as well.
Or maybe, just maybe, you can squeeze in a ‘date night’ including dinner and a few beverages.
The Barley Mow is the first restaurant to be featured on Community Engage and we scored a winner!

“I just wanted to drop you a line to say how easy it was to take advantage of a good deal at Barley Mow through Community Engage. We live in Almonte where Barley Mow have a great location by the Mississipi River. This is a heritage site which we frequent regularly and it was just great to be able to get the $10 for a $20 voucher deal. We purchased 4 vouchers and printed them off your site right away. We have two boys in minor hockey and are happy to be able to combine restaurant outings with minor hockey support.”
